Adrienne Sitko

Adrienne has a Bachelor of Music degree in Pipe Organ from the University of Alberta where her love of choral music began. She has been a member of Edmonton’s finest chamber choirs - University of Alberta Madrigal Singers, Da Camera Singers - Edmonton, Scona Early Music Ensemble, Scona Chamber Singers, Edmonton, and currently Pro Coro Canada. This is Adrienne’s thirteenth season with Pro Coro Canada as a core member. She has studied vocal performance with Eva Bostrand and Beth Turnbull. She is also an active soloist in Edmonton, and joyfully lends her voice to the First Baptist Church Edmonton Choir.

What is your major musical influence?

My musical inspirations are varied! I love all types of music and find inspiration everywhere - from going to Folk Fest every summer, to rocking out with friends at small venue concerts in the city, and of course all things classical and choral.

What are your favorite Pro Coro Canada performances?

I have the privilege of performing The Little Match Girl Passion, which always remains near the top. Good Friday concerts to me are very special - the emotion, the drama, the suffering, the bewilderment. Everything about this day is reflected in the music. It is so rich!
