Join us this Sunday to celebrate the

National Choral Awards

This May Long Weekend would have marked the convening of the 2020 PODIUM Conference in Montreal, including the presentation of the 2020 National Choral Awards. While the gathering of Canada’s choral leaders has been postponed, we are pleased to announce that the 2020 National Choral Awards will be awarded on CBC Radio 2 this Sunday, May 17th (9am MDT).

Be sure to tune in to find out the winners and experience an exciting celebration of Canadian choral music!

From the Podium

Dear friends and supporters of Pro Coro Canada

I hope this message finds you and your loved-ones in good health and good spirits. Warmer weather announced itself here in Edmonton, but it wouldn't be Alberta with another snow-shower in May.

Thank you for joining us through last week as we presented the Mother's Day Dailies. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the videos with our singers Sarah Schaub, Annette Martens, Kimberley Denis, Peter Malcolm and Graeme Climie, featuring his mother at the piano. I hope these presentations provided you also with some enjoyment and celebration.

Thank you also for watching my personal message and listening to my appeal for donations to Pro Coro Canada. Your support was and is incredible and we are immensely grateful. Philanthropy is crucial, more than ever, and our organization will eventually emerge from this state of suspension.

As the daily temperature here in Edmonton moves into double-digits and restrictions will be relaxed, the Pro Coro Canada office will remain closed. Feel free to reach us via email.

Our 2020-2021 season is under development and we intend to present great choral music to you, in person or online. Please keep an eye out for information via our newsletter and through social media channels. In June, we will also present a week-long series on contemporary choral music with daily instalments.

Until then, I wish you good health.

Michael
