Join Pro Coro Canada #connect, our choir for young emerging singers

RBC Emerging Artists ProjectPro Coro Canada’s #connect is for ambitious young singers interested in working in a professional environment with some of Canada’s top vocal and choral experts.

O Seeker of Dreams on March 11, 2017 under the direction of Artistic Director Michael Zaugg will feature a cappella music by Brahms, LaVoy, Debussy, Fulton and Lotti.  #connect will also perform alongside Pro Coro Canada in the Gala Concert of the Edmonton International Choral Festival with Swedish guest conductor Robert Sund.


#connect – with other passionate singers and choirs from Edmonton and the province

#connect – with eclectic and challenging a cappella music, from German motets to pulsing Scandinavian works to traditional American folksongs

#connect – with vocal coaches from the ranks of Pro Coro Canada and get valuable mentoring on vocal technique

#connect – with Pro Coro Canada’s appreciative audience, supporters and friends

#connect – with the singers of Pro Coro Canada, exchange your choral experience and build your professional network

#connect – with Pro Coro Canada’s Artistic Director, Michael Zaugg, and work on choral technique, interpretation and performance

Pro Coro Canada is looking to #connect with 24 to 28 auditioned singers who:

  • are passionate about ensemble singing and have a minimum of 2 years of mixed chorus experience
  • have music reading skills, a good sense of pitch and basic vocal techniques
  • are committed to preparing their music at home
  • are available for all rehearsals and performances, and
  • minimum age of 18 by September 1, 2016
