The Magnificat, also known as the Song of Mary, has been an inspiration to composers for over seven centuries. This ancient hymn will be explored through a cappella music by Vic Nees, Arvo Pärt, Charles Villiers Stanford and Giles Swayne as well as by earlier composers Giovanni Gabrieli and Heinrich Schütz, and through a newer interpretation by Québécois composer François-Hugues Leclair.
